Cairn Capital completes first close of loan opps fund (Creditflux)

London-based investment manager Cairn Capital has closed a fund focusing on loan backlogs on European bank balance sheets. Subscriptions for the fund came in somewhere below the $100 million mark. The loan opportunities fund - so-called because offloading of loans by banks is creating an attractive window for funds to pick up assets - was closed last month.
