Cairn Capital and industry magazine Creditflux have established a prize for Economics students studying at the London School of Economics.
The £10,000 gift will establish an annual prize open to students studying for MSc degrees in Finance, Finance and Economics, or Management and Regulation of Risk. The prize will be given to the author of the best essay on these courses, as judged by the School with help from Mike Peterson Editor of Creditflux and a Cairn Capital executive. The winning essay will be published in Creditflux magazine.
Speaking at the School, Cairn Director Tim Frost said "Cairn is proud to be associated with the LSE. We want to continue to access the best ideas and the best brains from the best educational institutions in the world and put them at the disposal of the investors in the transactions we manage. Establishing this prize in conjunction with our friends at Creditflux is also a good way for us to stay abreast of current thinking, and stay in touch with new trends in finance, markets and regulation." Creditflux Managing Editor Mike Peterson said "Fresh thinking and new insights about the financial markets have never been more important. We are delighted to team up with Cairn Capital and the LSE, two organisations that share our global perspective and passion for new ideas." |
